Aspen and Jamie

Perth to Calgary

Trip Overview

Owner: Jamie Spencer

Origin: Perth

Pet Name: Aspen

Destination: Calgary

Breed: Siberian Husky

“Aspen loves adventure.”

Here’s the story of a happy, adventurous and confident Siberian Husky, Aspen, who travelled from Perth to Calgary with Petraveller. Read to know more about Aspen and his international pet relocation story.

Jamie got Aspen from a breeder near Mandurah. Jamie met Aspen when he was four weeks old and brought him to his forever home when he turned six weeks old. Jamie says, “Aspen is very much unfazed in most settings, he is not bothered by loud noises or even lightning. For the most part, he is a very calm dog, never bites or snarls, and is happy meeting new people.”

Talking about his fantastic temperament, Jamie shares, “Aspen is unlike other Huskies in many of his personal characteristics. He is happy to chill out a lot of the time, as long as there is someone around to hang out with. Otherwise, he can get a little separation anxiety.” He continues with a laugh, “Get him out of the house for a walk, and he’ll go all day. He loves an adventure more than anything.”

Aspen loves the beach and swimming but hates baths. He is an independent dog but loves to be around people at his distance and will endure hugs.

Jamie moved to Canada a couple of years ago, and planned on being away for eighteen months. Jamie says, “My friends looked after Aspen as the cost of bringing him along here and back was too expensive for eighteen months. I have now decided to stay here and bringing Aspen here was always part of the move. We have been waiting since the start of COVID-19 to relocate Aspen here, and now we can finally do so. I couldn’t be more excited to see him in Canada and show him what snow feels like.”

Jamie began searching for a reliable international pet relocation company to help relocate his pet, and his search led him to Petraveller. He says, “None of the other places we had enquired with had gotten back to us in months. Petraveller got back to us immediately and have been very easy to deal with.”

We are delighted to say that Aspen had a great flight and is now happily reunited with his human dad Jamie. Thank you, Jamie, for trusting Petraveller and giving us the opportunity to relocate your dear Aspen. We wish you a happy life ahead and hope Aspen loves the weather and enjoys the snow in Canada.
