Atlas and Jeremy

Jeremy and his beloved German Shepherd, Atlas, recently travelled from Brisbane to Halifax with Petraveller. He talks about Jeremy’s personality and explains why he partnered with Petraveller for his pet’s international relocation to Nova Scotia.

Atlas joined the Whalen family when he was approximately one year old. Jeremy shares, “A friend of ours was moving overseas to a country that would not allow the import of multiple pets. The family chose to keep their older dog and sent Atlas on to us.”

Talking about Atlas’s personality, Jeremy shares, “Atlas took a little while to bond with us. But now, he has become a big part of the family. He doesn’t like to be separated from us and often follows us around the house. He sleeps in our daughter’s bedroom and doesn’t settle well if everyone is not home.” Jeremy adds, “Atlas is very playful and loves to play fetch, but with two balls. He will drop the one he has to get the one that you have.”

The Whelan family was relocating back to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Jeremy says, “We moved to Australia in 2017 and brought Atlas with us. Leaving him behind was never an option for us. Now that we are heading back, he’s coming with us.”

Relocating a pet internationally can be overwhelming because of the lengthy and complicated process.
