Boots, Boatmen and Rozalia

Melbourne to Frankfurt

Trip Overview

Owner: Rozalia Ghebhardt

Origin: Melbourne

Pet Name: Boots and Boatmen

Destination: Frankfurt

Breed: Domestic Shorthair x2

“I had an excellent experience with Petraveller.”

The Ghebhardt family relocated from Melbourne to Frankfurt to be closer to their family and friends. Petraveller helped relocate the family’s two handsome cats, Boots and Boatmen. Pet mum Rozalia talks about her pets and tells us what led her to Petraveller for the international pet relocation

Rozalia became a pet mum to Boots ten years ago when she adopted him in New York. Boatmen joined the family two years ago when Rozalia adopted him as an addition to her family in Melbourne.

Rozalia describes Boots’ personality. She says, “Boots is very friendly and curious with us but not so much with other people. He is very scared of the vet and can become aggressive. He needs a lot of love and petting as he’s growing older.”

On the other hand, Boatmen is very playful with Rozalia and the rest of the family but very scared of other people. “He hides away as soon as he senses strangers in the house. He is also scared of the vet but does not become aggressive like Boots. Boatmen does not like to be petted too much, unlike Boots, and he tends to bite", says Rozalia.

Rozalia and her family were heading back home to Frankfurt, Germany with their adorable cats. She says, “Like many other families around the world, we have been negatively affected by COVID-19. We want to be reunited with our family and friends in Germany.”

Organising an intercontinental move is stressful enough as it is, doing it in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic turned out to extremely challenging for Rozalia. She decided to hand over the relocation of her pets to an experienced pet travel agency. Rozalia got in touch with Petraveller to manage Boots and Boatmen’s pet transport from Melbourne to Frankfurt. Rozalia explains, “I read all the positive reviews online and I had a very good experience on the phone with various team members from Petraveller.”

We are glad to say that Boots and Boatmen had an incredible journey and made it safely to Frankfurt. Thank you, Rozalia, for trusting Petraveller with your precious fur babies. We hope you are enjoying your family time and big hugs to adorable Boots and Boatmen!
