Coco and Stephanie

Melbourne to Singapore

Trip Overview

Owner: Stephanie Silvester

Origin: Melbourne

Pet Name: Coco

Destination: Singapore

Breed: Kelpie cross

“I chose Petraveller based on a combination of word-of-mouth and complete door-to-door service.”

Stephanie and her Kelpie cross Coco relocated to Singapore from Melbourne. Stephanie talks about her pet’s nature and why she partnered with Petraveller for the international pet relocation.

Coco is an eleven-year-old Kelpie cross adopted from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Hong Kong when she was three months old.

Stephanie describes Coco as an affectionate and happy dog. She is quiet, clean, friendly and calm. Pet mum Stephanie says proudly, “Coco is well-trained and well-trusted off-leash in uncrowded environments. She can be left by herself all day at home, inside or out, without any fuss. Coco is an excellent companion and extremely gentle with small children and has been an after-school playmate for several neighbours’ children over the years.”

Coco is a talented performer, and knows at least eight different doggie tricks. She is not very fond of loud noises, though. Stephanie explains, “Coco doesn’t like excessive noise, thunder or fireworks. She does not like being surprised from behind or rushed upon by other dogs.”

Stephanie and Coco love to go on adventures together. Stephanie says, “Coco typically walks twice a day, roughly an hour in the morning and up to 30 mins in the evening. She sleeps most of the day in between but loves the opportunity to adventure out on a hike or go for a drive with me whenever she can. As a black dog, she is not suited to long walks or runs in scorching weather, but otherwise loves hiking, visiting the beach for a swim, boating, or embarking on other adventures with me.”

Stephanie has relocated to Singapore for work. She says, “We previously relocated from Hong Kong to Melbourne two years ago, and Coco seemed to cope well with the relocation and ten days quarantine. But it took her three to four months to get used to our new home. I am concerned that she may be more nervous and wary of transportation this time around, given she has been in the crate and on a plane before.”

Coco has been in the excellent care of Stephanie’s aunt in Australia for the past two months while she has been in Singapore looking for a new place to live.

Stephanie decided to get help from an accredited international pet relocation company to relocate her pet. She says, “I did some online research and called several pet transport providers to learn more about their services. I settled on Petraveller based on a combination of word-of-mouth recommendation and a complete door-to-door service needed as I am already overseas and not able to supervise the move directly.”

We are happy to say that Coco was an absolute darling on her journey to Singapore and is happily reunited with her human mum Stephanie. Thank you, Stephanie, for giving Petraveller the opportunity to relocate your beloved Coco. We wish you the best and many fun adventures with Coco in Singapore.
