Daisy, Skye and Fiona

Adelaide to Glasgow

Trip Overview

Owner: Fiona Barrie

Origin: Adelaide

Pet Names: Daisy and Skye

Destination: Glasgow

Breed: Jack Russell Cross Mini Schnauzer

“Daisy and Skye are adventurous and cheeky doggies!”

Fiona and her pets Daisy and Skye were moving back home to Glasgow from Adelaide. She reached out to Petraveller to assist her with the pet relocation. Fiona talks about her pets’ personalities and why she chose Petraveller to relocate her pets.

Daisy and Skye became a part of the Barrie family in August 2016. Their mum is a Jack Russell and their dad is a Schnauzer. They have three other sisters and one brother. Fiona says, “Before arriving in Australia, Daisy and Skye saw their mum, brother and one of their sisters fairly regularly.”

Daisy and Skye are adventurous and at times, cheeky doggies. They love long walks, and Fiona often walks them for an hour or more twice a day. She says, “They particularly enjoy chasing birds when we are out.” Sometimes Daisy is a little unpredictable with young children and has to be excluded when the Barries are with their toddler grandsons. She says, “We think she becomes a little anxious when they are loud or running. However, she is very affectionate with our seven-year-old granddaughter, and is very protective of the people in her life.”

Fiona says, “Skye is also cheeky and naughty but is a little more laid back. They both enjoy being around people and other dogs.” She adds, “They live with two cats, and Daisy treats them to the occasional ear cleaning. The cats are quite happy for her to do this.”

Fiona had moved to Adelaide from the United Kingdom with her pets to be closer to family. She says, “I wanted to start a new life in Adelaide and also be closer to children and grandchildren. Unfortunately, my husband decided not to make the move, and so Daisy and Skye got to spend a very short time in Adelaide.” Fiona chose Petraveller for her their travel back home. She says, “I was recommended Petraveller by the pet travel agency that I had used before in the UK.”

Daisy and Skye were perfect passengers and made their journey with ease. They are now happy back home in Glasgow. Thank you, Fiona, for trusting us with your precious pets. We wish you good luck and lots of love to Daisy and Skye.
