Doug and Kirsty

Sydney to Los Angeles

Trip Overview

Owner: Kirsty Forbes

Origin: Sydney

Pet Name: Doug

Destination: Los Angeles

Breed: Pug

“Doug is a human in a pug’s body.”

Kirsty and her charming Pug, Doug, travelled from Sydney to Los Angeles with Petraveller. Kirsty talks about her pet’s personality and tells us why she partnered with Petraveller for Doug’s international pet transport to Los Angeles.

Doug was a birthday present to Kirsty on her 30th birthday. Kirsty says fondly, “Doug is a human in a pug’s body. He currently lives with my husband and me.”

Kirsty enjoys her pet’s fun-loving personality. She says, “Doug is a fun dog who loves cuddles and doing pug zoomies. He is adaptable and easy going. Doug goes for daily runs, loves swimming at the beach and kicking a soccer ball with his mouth!” Kirsty smiles and adds, “Doug will win your heart over.”

Kirsty and her husband were relocating to Los Angeles in the US for work and study. As  Doug is a huge part of the Forbes family, it was clear that he was relocating with them.

Relocating a snub-nosed dog comes with certain risks, and not all airlines accept these pets on board. As a result, Kirsty decided to use an international pet relocation company that have relocated snub-nosed dogs like Doug before. Like all pet parents, Kirsty wanted her pet to have a comfortable and stress-free flight experience. However, it was not very easy for Kirsty to find a pet transport company that would help her relocate Doug to Los Angeles. During her search, Kirsty stumbled upon Petraveller and reached out to the company.

Kirsty says, “It was really difficult getting a flight for Doug. Petraveller was very supportive and helpful in flying a snub-nosed breed. I can’t thank them enough!”

Doug made his journey to Los Angeles effortlessly and is busy enjoying the new outdoors and the parks. Thank you, Kirsty, for trusting Petraveller with your fur baby Doug. We wish you good luck and exciting adventures with Doug in the United States.
