Frankie, Moni, Boe and Cathryn

Melbourne to Wellington

Trip Overview

Owner: Cathryn King

Origin: Melbourne

Pet Names: Frankie, Moni and Boe

Destination: Wellington

Breed: Mastiff and Beagle x2

“Moni loves to play with Boe and Frankie.”

Cathryn travelled with her three gorgeous doggies, Frankie, Moni and Boe, from Melbourne to Wellington with Petraveller. She talks about her pets and tells us why she chose Petraveller for her pets’ international move.

Frankie the Mastiff is a gentle giant and is ridiculously timid. She loves running in short bursts and adores head scratches. Frankie is an incredibly happy girl who is obsessed with attention. Cathryn laughs and shares, “Frankie cannot handle seeing one of the other dogs getting pets and not her. She does not realise her size and will try to sit in your lap. Also, she loves to sleep early and long. When Frankie eats her breakfast and dinner, it needs to be elevated as she’s a big breed and also because Moni and Boe demolish her food.”

Frankie has never been alone as she’s always had Moni and Boe. “She is not very friendly with other dogs as she is terrified of them. Moni and Boe go into defensive mode when they see Frankie scared. Frankie will not do well being away from Moni and Boe,” says Cathryn.

Cathryn gifted herself a Beagle on her 21st birthday and named her Moni. They both lived by the beach, happy as ever. Moni is a very happy and bubbly dog who loves affection and bum scratches. She loves to play with people, Boe and Frankie. However, she can get grumpy at Boe and Frankie if they bug her too much. Cathryn laughs and says, “Moni is totally food-oriented. She would eat jerseys to death if there was enough food lying about.”

Cathryn reveals an incident that changed Moni. She says, “Moni was always a super friendly dog who loved all humans and other dogs, no matter the size. However, one horrible day at a dog park, she was attacked and that completely changed her as a dog. She’s still incredibly happy but now terrified of other dogs and some humans.”

Boe the Beagle is a happy little man who loves cuddles, belly rubs and attention. However, he’s also a sook. He loves to watch TV and is obsessed with food, and his favourite pastime is sleeping. Boe loves running and playing fetch, he expects you to throw the ball but he will never give it to you. Cathryn says, “Boe has recently become alpha out of the three pets. He is incredibly territorial and will more than likely try to eat the others’ food.”

Cathryn was moving to Wellington, New Zealand. She says, “I was born and raised in Melbourne with no desire to travel or leave Australia until I met my partner, who is from New Zealand. We talked about moving, but things happened much faster than planned. The dogs being left behind in Australia was never an option.”

Relocating three pets overseas is a task by itself. Therefore, Cathryn decided to engage a reliable international pet transport agency to help her move her pets to New Zealand safely. She reached out to Petraveller based on a recommendation. She says, “My partner’s boss used Petraveller to relocate his dog and recommended Petraveller to us.”

Frankie, Moni and Boe had an amazing flight and landed safely in Wellington. Thank you, Cathryn, for choosing Petraveller to relocate your furry family members. Here’s to more adventures, goofiness and laughter with Frankie, Moni and Boe in New Zealand!
