Guanciale, Loki, Lily and Chris

Melbourne to Dublin

Trip Overview

Owner: Christopher Haydon

Origin: Melbourne

Pet Name: Guanciale, Loki and Lily

Destination: Dublin

Breed: Shar Pei, Siberian Husky and Domestic Long Hair

We reached out to Petraveller after the other pet travel agency stopped communicating with us.”

Petraveller helped relocate adorable Shar Pei Guanciale, Husky Loki and Domestic Long Hair Lily from Melbourne to Dublin. Pet dad Christopher talks about his pets and tells us why he booked Petraveller for the international pet relocation.

Lily was Christopher’s first pet in Australia. He got her in Queensland where they lived for two and a half years before moving to Melbourne. Christopher says, “She has been the boss of the house ever since I brought her home.”

About four-and-a-half years ago, Christopher got Guanciale the Shar-Pei from a breeder in the countryside. He says fondly, “I am a dog person, and when I realised I wanted to call Australia my home, I knew that the next step was to find Lily a baby brother.”

A few years later, Christopher expanded his family when he brought Loki home from a breeder. Christopher recalls, “We knew Guanciale wanted a brother. Loki has kept Guanciale on his toes, his name gives his mischievous personality away. Loki and Guanciale have become inseparable.”

Talking about Lily’s personality, Christopher shares, “Lily cuddles and purrs on your chest and sends you to sleep. She is very affectionate, and she loves to spend her day outside. When it’s night time, I whistle and she comes home for dinner, cuddles and sleep.”

Christopher speaks about Guanciale and Loki with great affection. He says, “Guanciale is the most nurturing old soul I have ever met. He respects Lily, and is the best big brother to Loki, showing him the ropes. Loki, on the other hand, is still a puppy, he is playful and cheeky. He is so gentle with every other dog in the park, a bit shy with humans and respectful to Lily.”

Christopher decided to move back home to Dublin, Ireland to start his family with his partner. As Christopher dearly adores his furry family, it was obvious that they would be joining him in Dublin.

Like all pet parents, Christopher wanted his pets to have a stress-free travel experience. He decided to engage the services of an international pet travel company to help with the relocation. He says, “Initially, we were dealing with another pet travel agency. We noticed there was a lack of communication when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out and we reached out to Petraveller to help with the relocation.”

Guanciale, Loki and Lily were absolute sweethearts on their long international journey and are well-settled in their new home in Dublin. Thank you, Christopher, for allowing us to relocate your gorgeous fur babies. Wishing you many fantastic experiences with Guanciale, Loki and Lily in Dublin!
