Hershey and Ewald

“Hershey is a much-loved family member.”

Ewald and his darling Maine Coon Hershey moved from Sydney to Madrid with Petraveller. Ewald talks about Hershey’s significance in his life and why he chose Petraveller for his pet’s international relocation.

Hershey became a part of the Boers family in January 2020 when they got her from a Maine Coon breeder. Ewald says fondly, “Hershey is a much-loved family member and is very attached to us. She is an indoor cat, but goes outside on the balcony at home. She is not used to traffic noises and loud sounds spook her. Hershey has only been on short car trips and never on a plane before.”

Hershey is very soft and loves to be close to people. Ewald says, “She happily comes to sit close to us or on us, but will also stay clear when she wants to be left alone. She loves cuddles and is not shy around strangers.” He adds, “She is spooked by loud noises such as vehicles and tinfoil! She is still a kitten and she loves to play with her toys. A scrunched-up piece of paper is her favourite toy. She also loves her stuffed toys.”

Ewald and his family were moving to Madrid, Spain, for work. “Hershey is an important family member and we never considered leaving her behind,” explains Ewald.
