Katya,  Jäger and Tennille

Brisbane to Wellington

Trip Overview

Owner: Tennille Grant

Origin: Brisbane

Pet Name: Katya and Jäger

Destination: Wellington

Breed: Domestic Shorthair

“Petraveller’s quotes were well priced and clear, with no hidden costs.”

Pet mum Tennille booked Petraveller for the relocation of her beauties Katya and Jäger from Brisbane to Wellington. Tennille speaks about her cats and explains why she employed Petraveller for the pet relocation.

Jäger was adopted by Tennille’s partner Alistair in Coffs Harbour when Jäger was a kitten. He took quite a liking to Tennille when she moved in with Alistair in Brisbane. Tennille and Alistair together then adopted Katya as Jäger’s little sister when Katya was one year old from the Wacol RSPCA.

Tennille describes Jäger as a reserved cat. He loves face smooshes, belly rubs, and can often be found under the covers of the bed. Tennille says, “Jäger likes being picked up, but will wiggle out of it after a few seconds. He’s too cool for cuddles and will usually find somewhere to hang out and chill quietly. If we are hugging, he will quite often come in to get in on it, but will run away if you try and pat him.”

Katya, on the other hand, loves sitting on laps. She loves attention and has a very loud purr. Tennille smiles and says, “She will annoy you until you pay her attention. Katya doesn’t quite know how to retract her claws when she is pawing at your face. She will meow her face off until you feed her wet food, and then will eat her food as well as Jäger’s food. We are unsure how she is still so small!” Katya is very adventurous and will climb onto anything.

Tennille and Alistair were relocating from Brisbane to Lower Hutt, Wellington. She says, “We wanted a change of pace, a new adventure, and now Alistair has a new job which means new beginnings! Leaving the fur babies behind was not an option.”

For a cat parent like Tennille, the wellbeing of her pets is always on her mind. She was looking for a trusted and efficient international pet transport agency for a stress-free journey for her kitties. She got quotes from a number of other companies but chose Petraveller for the relocation. Tennille says, “Petraveller was well-priced, informative and they had no hidden or ‘forgotten’ costs. I loved the professional and polished look of the marketing collateral. The quotes were well-presented and clear.”

Jäger and Katya had an incredible trip from Brisbane to Wellington, New Zealand. Tennille was very pleased with her decision to use Petraveller for the relocation. She says, “Petraveller were amazing. They kept in contact, answered all my questions, and kept us reassured the entire time. My fur babies arrived safely and in time.”

Thank you, Tennille, for trusting Petraveller with your precious kitties. We wish you success in your new chapter of life and hope you have some incredible adventures with Jäger and Katya out there in New Zealand.
