Lew, Kew and Clare

Melbourne to Haneda

Trip Overview

Owner: Clare Ann Kai

Origin: Melbourne

Pet Names: Lew and Kew

Destination: Haneda

Breed: Domestic Shorthair cats

“Petraveller had good reviews from cat owners.”

Petraveller flew two lovely Domestic Shorthair kitties, Lew and Kew, from Melbourne to Haneda. Pet parent Clare talks fondly about her pets and tells us why she booked Petraveller for their international pet relocation to Japan.

Clare adopted Domestic Shorthair Lew from an abusive past owner. Clare recalls affectionately, “Lew has a very big heart for what she has gone through. She loves people she knows but can be aggressive to strangers, as she is scared of being hurt. She is easily scared due to her painful past. When I found Lew, she was crammed in a wire birdcage.” Lew has come a long way since her abusive past. Clare says, “Lew loves soft things. She does not leave the bed or the couch; anything soft under her feet becomes hers instantly.”

Domestic Shorthair Kew was a gift to Clare from her husband. She smiles and says, “Kew is a cheeky mummy’s boy and a spoilt little brother; he knows no wrong. He loves a good meal and cuddles. He is very sweet and patient with his big sister Lew but can be a bully sometimes if he doesn’t get all his energy out. Kew is very quiet; he doesn’t make much noise for a big boy.”

The Kai family were moving to Haneda, Japan. Clare says, “I’m an Australian, and I married my husband, who is Japanese. He wants to go home and start a family, so we are moving for a new life.” Leaving her adorable fur babies behind was never an option for Clare.

Clare decided to hand over the pet relocation process to an experienced pet travel company. She realised that transporting two pets across the world was not going to be an easy task. Clare reached out to Petraveller to move her pets safely from Melbourne to Haneda. Clare says, “Petraveller had good reviews from cat owners. Most travel companies only talk about their dog travels, but cats do not travel like dogs.”

Lew and Kew were absolute darlings and behaved very well on their long flight from Australia to Japan. Thank you, Clare, for choosing Petraveller to relocate your beloved cats. We wish the Kai family the best and lots of fun and laughter with Lew and Kew out there in Japan.
