Lobo and Robin

Robin was moving back home from Melbourne to Christchurch. He reached out to Petraveller to assist him with his pet’s relocation. Robin talks about his Labrador Retriever Lobo and why he chose Petraveller for the relocation.

The Moffat family fostered dogs from the Australian Border Force as part of their foster dog program. Robin says, “We had four dogs in total and out of the four, Lobo, didn’t make it into the program and we purchased him when he was eleven months old. The other three dogs are currently working for NSW Police and the Border Force in Queensland.”

Lobo is very good with children; he’s always very soft and gentle. Robin says, “Lobo has been an outside dog since he was eight weeks old, though he likes to sneak in and sleep on the sofa when he can. He’s the happiest when you throw a ball at him.”

After living in Melbourne, Australia for eight years the Moffat family were moving back home to Christchurch, New Zealand. Robin says, “Due to COVID-19 and lack of work for my wife, we have decided to relocate to New Zealand to be closer to family.” As Lobo is a part of the Moffat family leaving him behind was not an option.

International pet travel has become extremely challenging due to the travel restrictions in place because of the global Covid-19 pandemic. Robin decided to choose an accredited international pet transport company to assist him in relocating his pet.
