Max, Misha and Tony

Melbourne to Los Angeles

Trip Overview

Owner: Tony Decesare

Origin: Melbourne

Pet Names: Max and Misha

Destination: Los Angeles

Breed: Domestic Short Hair and Russian Blue

“When I found out that pets can be transported long distances by plane, I knew they had to come with me.”

Tony and his adorable cats Max and Misha moved from Australia to Los Angeles with Petraveller. This is their pet relocation story.

Tony has always loved cats and Russian Blues in particular. He recollects, “From an early age, I was drawn to the breed and told myself that when I get my own home, I will have a Russian Blue. Thirty years later, Misha is my third Russian.”

Max joined the Decesare household about ten years ago when he turned up at Tony’s door as a stray kitten. Max decided that Tony was family and refused to leave. Tony remembers, “In just two days, he was sleeping next to me and has been ever since!”

Max and Misha have completely different personalities. Misha is like a little princess, loyal only to Tony and will avoid anybody else. Max, on the other hand, is a friendly boy who loves cuddles and purrs very loudly. He can recognise people who are cat-friendly and runs away if he thinks a person is not fond of cats.

Tony was moving to the United States of America to marry the girl of his dreams and start a new life. Initially, he considered the idea of leaving behind Max and Misha with relatives in Australia but soon dropped the idea. Tony says, “I miss them terribly whenever I travel on work, and I know they missed me as well. When I found out that pets can be transported long distances by plane, the choice was easy, and I knew they had to come with me.”

Tony started his search for the perfect pet transport partner to help him with Max and Misha’s relocation to Los Angeles. Tony says, “After researching many pet travel services, I chose Petraveller because of the positive reviews. I even contacted some of the people who wrote the reviews to find out more. I am very impressed by the service, and all my questions have been answered promptly and courteously even when I thought they might have been silly.”

Tony was very concerned because Max and Misha would be travelling for 14 hours from Australia to Los Angeles. He says, “I needn’t have worried at all. Max and Misha reached the US happy and relaxed, and no worse for wear after the long journey. Petraveller kept me updated with photos, videos and emails from the time they left Australia until they arrived.”

Max and Misha are now happily exploring their new home in Los Angeles. Thank you, Tony, for trusting Petraveller with your precious kitties.
