Millie and Ruth

Adorable Mastiff Cross Millie travelled from Sydney to London with Petraveller. Her proud mum Ruth talks about Millie and what led her to Petraveller for Millie’s pet relocation.

The McGiverns were looking for an addition to their family. Ruth says, “We searched for a few months, and as soon as we saw Millie, we knew she was the one. She is a rescue dog that joined our family one-and-a-half years ago.”

Originally from Tamworth, Millie is an energetic girl who loves long walks, chasing her ball and comfy naps on the sofa. Ruth says, “Millie is very playful and energetic. She is intelligent and knows lots of tricks, and she likes to show off to new people.” Millie is also extremely gentle and fantastic with children, older people, other dogs and puppies. She, however, does not like cats and will chase and bark at them.

After living in Australia for eight years, Ruth decided to relocate to the UK, where she would be closer to her family. She says, “After a lot of thought and consideration, we decided to make a move back to the UK where we would settle and be closer to both our families.”

Like all pet parents who consider pets as family members, the idea of Millie’s relocation came up. She says, “Leaving Millie behind was never an option, and so we decided to relocate her.”

Ruth found Petraveller while searching for an accredited Australian pet travel agency online. She says, “I spoke to a few companies in the UK, thinking that was the way to arrange for pet transport. All the companies I spoke to pointed me in the direction of Petraveller. After speaking to a representative at the office and experiencing his confidence, knowledge and great patience with my questions, I knew that Petraveller would be a perfect fit for my pet’s relocation.”

Millie was a perfect angel during her flight and arrived in the UK in great spirits. Ruth says, “She was very happy and, if I hadn’t known, I wouldn’t have guessed she’d just flown across the world!”
