Nacho, Gbs and Alex

Here’s a beautiful story of two gorgeous cats, Nacho and Gbs, who travelled from Sydney to New York with Petraveller. Read to know more about Nacho and Gbs and their pet relocation experience.

Nacho, a British Shorthair, was born in 2011 and Gbs, a Domestic Shorthair (Pronounced Jeebs) in 2019. They have been a part of Alex’s life since they were kittens.

Alex speaks affectionately about his fur babies, “Both Nacho and Gbs are very easy-going, as well as low-maintenance cats. They slightly differ from each other. Nacho is low key, loyal, and independent. Whereas, Gbs is a bit more active, attention-grabbing, and quite dog-like as she plays fetch etc.”

Alex was relocating to New York, USA. “I am a dual citizen of Australia and the United States of America, although most of my family is in America. It was always a long- term plan to spend more time in the USA eventually, and it is happening now. Leaving Nacho and Gbs behind was not an option,” says Alex.

Alex started looking for pet travel options to move his feline family to New York as international pet travel was extremely challenging due to the travel restrictions because of the global pandemic.
