Nala and Leila

Leila and her pretty Shetland Sheepdog Nala relocated from Sydney to Frankfurt, Germany. Leila talks to us about Nala and shares her international pet relocation experience.

Nala’s mum was Leila’s family dog and was closest to her growing up. Nala was from her last litter, and Leila adopted her when Nala was three months old in 2008.

Nala is shy but a tough cookie. Leila says fondly, “She will not leave my side. She will be calm and quiet until she notices the cues for a walk, run or playtime, when she gets very excited she might even bark a bit in the heat of the moment. Nala takes a while getting used to new people and might protect a pile of clothes or her food from someone while I am out. She would never hurt anyone.”

Leila is a German national and was moving back home to Frankfurt. Leaving Nala behind was not an option, even though it was a long journey. Like most pet parents, Leila was a little worried about putting her pet through the stress of travel.

Leila got in touch with Petraveller to assist her with the international pet transport.
