Melbourne to Bangkok

Trip Overview

Owner: Chidchanok Choomanee

Origin: Melbourne

Pet Names: Nasi, Milo, Mumin and Mumu

Destination: Bangkok

Breed: Domestic Shorthair x3 and Domestic Longhair

“Petraveller has good recommendations.”

Travelling has become a significant challenge due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and pet travel is now more complex than ever. Nonetheless, Petraveller relocated four cats, Nasi, Milo, Mumin and Mumu, from Melbourne to Bangkok. Pet mum Chidchanok talks about her pets and explains why she chose Petraveller for the international pet relocation.

About two years ago, Chidchanok bought two kitties, a Domestic Longhair and a Domestic Shorthair, and named them Mumu and Milo. Mumu and Milo had kittens, and Chidchanok kept two of them for herself and named them Nasi and Mumin.

Chidchanok says, “They all have different personalities – Milo and Mumin are tough and Mumin follows his dad all the time. Mumu is a quiet mom. She always stays alone and has her private area. Nasi is the youngest girl, she’s compassionate and gets stressed easily. The vet has given her Zylkene to take every day to reduce her stress.”

Talking about her cats’ personalities, Chidchanok says, “Milo and Mumin stay together all the time, they love running around. Milo loves a good back scratch. Mumu likes being alone, however, sometimes, she likes chasing her shadow and playing with toys. Nasi, on the other hand, is playful by nature and sometimes naughty. She likes running, hiding and playing with her toys but she doesn’t like playing alone. She likes it when everyone gives her a lot of attention but doesn’t like to be photographed.”

Chidchanok was returning to her hometown in Bangkok due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She says, “I finished my studies, and I think I should find a job in my country.” Leaving her adorable cats behind wasn’t an option for Chidchanok.

Moving a pet to a different country comes with several challenges. One has to ensure that all the pet import regulations are met, the paperwork is in place and much more. To spare herself from the lengthy process, Chidchanok decided to hand over the job of transporting her pets to an accredited pet transport company. She contacted Petraveller based on a friend’s recommendation. She says, “My friend told me about Petraveller. When I researched about Petraveller, I saw that you have good recommendations.”

We are glad to say that Nasi, Milo, Mumin and Mumu had a fantastic journey back home and have settled in quite well in their new home. Thank you, Chidchanok, for trusting Petraveller with the relocation of your gorgeous fur babies. We wish you good luck and big hugs to Nasi, Milo, Mumin and Mumu!
