Adorable Toy Poodle Newton travelled from Melbourne to Auckland with Petraveller. Pet mum Jillian fondly talks about her pet’s personality and explains why she booked Petraveller for Newton’s international pet relocation.

About three years ago, Jillian persuaded her husband to get a dog. Jillian recollects, “When we went to see Newton at the breeder, I had no expectations as I did not want to be disappointed. But we both fell in love with him the minute we met him.”

Jillian talks affectionately about her pet’s lovable personality. She says, “Newton is very loyal and attached to us. He is adorable, funny and loves to perform. He is very intelligent and learns fast, especially if there are treats involved. He loves his treats but unfortunately has a sensitive stomach.”

She continues, “We sometimes say Newton has a cat-like personality as he chooses when to show affection to us. He likes his space and does not always like being patted, even by us, but absolutely loves his back scratches though!”

Newton is friendly with other dogs, especially Poodles and Poodle Crosses. He is scared of new people, except for people who don’t pay him attention. “We think it’s because those people don’t go too close to him or intimidate him with too much patting,” says Jillian.

The Lim family were moving back home to Auckland, New Zealand to be closer to the family. Jillian couldn’t think of leaving Newton behind when the idea of relocation came up.
