Nova and Jo

Melbourne to Glasgow

Trip Overview

Owner: Jo Aitchison

Origin: Melbourne

Pet Name: Nova

Destination: Glasgow

Breed: Dachshund (Miniature)

“Nova warms my heart every day.”

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many people, like Jo and her Miniature Dachshund Nova, to move back home. Jo reached out to Petraveller to relocate her pet from Melbourne to Glasgow. She talks about Nova and tells us why she chose Petraveller for the international pet relocation.

Jo became a doggo mummy to Nova on 9th December 2018. She says, “I picked her up from a lovely lady in Addington. Nova was one of four pups in the litter and the only girl.”

Jo and Nova share an incredible bond. Jo says affectionately, “Nova warms my heart every day. She makes me want to squeeze her out of love. She loves everybody and everything and gets excited to see me even after I have just stepped out to take the bins out!”

She says fondly, “Nova is very clever and has learnt every trick that has been taught to her in 30 minutes or less! She knows how sit, stay, down, roll over and paw. She doesn’t bark, but she loves to lick. She is the sweetest doggo I know, but she hates being left alone.”

After living in Australia for four years, Jo was returning home to her family in Glasgow, Scotland due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She says, “We have been pretty much forced out by this awful virus.”

Jo wanted her pooch Nova to have a pleasant experience during her relocation. She decided to hire an experienced international pet relocation company to handle the relocation. Jo says, “My sister asked around and was recommended Petraveller. I contacted Petraveller and the experience was great.”

Nova was an absolute sweetheart on her long international journey from Melbourne to Glasgow. Thank you, Jo, for trusting us with sweet Nova’s relocation. Best wishes to you and lots of hugs to Nova!
