Pistol and Robert

Sydney to Zagreb

Trip Overview

Owner: Robert Simunovic

Origin: Sydney

Pet Name: Pistol

Destination: Zagreb

Breed: German Shepherd

“Petraveller removed all concerns and stress of dealing with the relocation.”

Here’s the relocation story of a cheeky German Shepherd, Pistol, who is full of personality. Pistol travelled from Sydney to Zagreb, Croatia with Petraveller. Robert talks about his buddy and explains why he chose Petraveller for Pistol’s international pet relocation.

Pistol became a part of Robert’s life when Pistol was eight weeks old. “A few months earlier, I had to put my Staffie down at the age of fifteen years. We brought Pistol home from a breeder and he brought great comfort to us during this difficult period,” Robert recalls.

Robert describes Pistol as cheeky, intelligent, and very obedient. Robert talks affectionately about his family pet. He says, “Pistol is super affectionate and loves to snuggle up for cuddles. He loves the ball, any size ball and any type of ball.”

Robert talks about Pistol’s cheeky behaviour. He laughs and says, “I walk Pistol off-lead when we go for walks. When it has been raining, he will run into a puddle or even mud and roll in it, keeping an eye on my reaction because he knows I don’t like it. And then, he wants to play chase.”

Robert continues, “With other dogs, Pistol is macho and vocal. He doesn’t bite or attack them but walks up and puts his head on top of theirs to show he is bigger. Pistol is a guard dog, and he alerts us to signs of something unusual even if it’s a knock on the door.”

Robert was relocating to Zagreb, Croatia, to be closer to his family and friends and start a new adventure. Robert says, “My parents had some estate in Croatia that I need to take care of. Ever since I was a child, my parents would take us kids to Croatia every year, and I always said, this is where I want to live one day.” He adds, “I don’t think I would go without Pistol. I have never considered leaving him behind, even with my closest friends or siblings.”

Robert decided to engage the services of an international pet transport agency to relocate Pistol safely to Croatia and reached out to Petraveller to manage Pistol’s move. Robert says, “I chose Petraveller purely due to the details provided in the original correspondence and quotation. I sent out several enquiries, and Petraveller wasn’t the cheapest, nor the most expensive. However, they were the simplest to understand: the welcome page, the graphics, the clear layout of the travel plan, and the sky crate explained. Petraveller made it a pleasure to read, and immediately removed any concerns and stress of dealing with the relocation. After speaking with Petraveller, I knew I had made the right choice.”

Pistol was a well-mannered boy during his long flight to Croatia and reached his destination in good health. Robert was delighted with the pet travel experience. He says, “A massive thank you to all at Petraveller. The Croatian customs team said Petraveller had everything organised very well and are the best that they have ever seen.”

Thank you, Robert, for trusting Petraveller and for your kind words of appreciation. We wish you lots of fun, laughter and pawesome adventures with Pistol out there in Zagreb.
