Schnitzel and Tash

“If Schnitzel were a person, he would be a professional salsa dancer!”

Tash and her beloved Pomeranian Schnitzel moved from Melbourne to Germany with Petraveller. Tash talks about Schnitzel and recounts his relocation experience.

Schnitzel came into Tash’s life after she settled back down in Melbourne, after having travelled the world for many years. Tash even named Schnitzel from something that reminded her of her favourite place, Germany. Tash says fondly, “Schnitzel is just a cool dog; he makes everybody smile and happy. If he were a person, he would be a professional salsa dancer!”

Schnitzel is not just Tash’s pet friend, but his unconditional love has also helped her battle mental health issues. Tash reminisces, “I have been struggling with it for many years, and he has given me so much more confidence and love for myself.”

Tash decided to move from Melbourne to Frankfurt, Germany to be with her German partner. She spent many weeks trying to work out how to make the big move, even going to the extent of thinking of leaving her partner to spare Schnitzel the stress of such a massive move.

Schnitzel is thriving in Frankfurt, Germany with his family. Tash says, “Schnitzel is very happy about being able to join me everywhere we go; to work, to the shops, to restaurants, you name it, he can join.” Schnitzel also got to experience the snow, which he loves and is now looking forward to travelling around Europe in the coming months with his official pet passport.
