Sparky and Jane

“Sparky believes he is human.”

Here’s the relocation story of a pawsome Border Collie Sparky, who believes humans have three purposes in life: to throw tennis balls, to be licked to death and to dish out food. Here’s Sparky and his international pet relocation story from Brisbane to Christchurch.

Sparky has been a part of Jane’s life since he was eight weeks old. Jane laughs and says, “Sparky believes he is a human. He loves people more than food, and tennis balls are better than humans. He is an adorable dog who lives for pats and ball games.”

Jane talks about her pet’s unique personality. She laughs and says, “Sparky believes humans have three purposes in life: to throw tennis balls, to be licked to death and to dish out the food.”

Jane continues, “Sparky is a little inactive for a Border Collie, he gets sore hips if he jumps a lot. He is not keen on other dogs, as he is not exposed to them. Like most Border Collies, Sparky is a picky eater and is terrified of thunderstorms, so much so that he once dug under a water tank to try and hide during a storm. Sparky is a very gentle dog but gets snappy if terrified.”

Sparky enjoys being with children. Jane shares, “Sparky sits next to our baby grandchild, and if she cries, he gets one of his toys for her. He also allows the six-year-old to sit him on a chair and “feed” him. He pretends to sip tea from her cup of a tea set.”

Jane was moving to Christchurch, New Zealand, for a quieter life. As Jane dearly adores her pet, it was clear that Sparky would be moving with her. 

Jane decided to look for an international pet transport company to help move Sparky safely to Christchurch. She searched for pet transport options and contacted a few agencies before choosing Petraveller.
