“Petraveller is very reassuring and helpful.”

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, many people were forced to move back home. Donna reached out to Petraveller to relocate her dogs Annabell and Tabetha from Brisbane to Wellington. Here’s their pet relocation story.

Annabell was a rescue dog who came into Donna’s life when Annabell was seven months old. Donna recalls, “I was a dog groomer in Tokoroa, New Zealand, and my best friend was an SPCA inspector there. The SPCA came across an old man who was a puppy farmer and kept Annabell and thirteen other dogs like her in a cage. The SPCA brought Annabell and three other dogs to me to be groomed and told me they needed to be rehomed. I said I would take Annabell and she came home one month later. She is the most beautiful and loving dog I have ever owned.”

Donna adds, “Annabell is my soul dog, she knows when I’m sad and comes to comfort me on her own.”

Donna bought Tabetha when she was six months old. Donna shares, “She was the last and smallest of the litter. She will sit beside me all the time, and follow me everywhere. She dislikes being picked up and kissed. Tabetha has a friendly nature and loves her mum to bits.”

Annabell is a very vocal dog. Donna says, “Even when I have been out just for five minutes, she is always happy to see me. Annabell is a lap dog and loves her cuddles. She always pushes her head into my face as a cuddle.” She shares, “Tabetha on the other hand, shows her love by sitting next to me or on my bed. She dislikes sitting on my lap or been picked up but is a lovely little dog.”

Donna was moving back home to Wellington, New Zealand because of the Covid-19 pandemic. She says, “I had financial support here in Australia, so I needed to come home to New Zealand.” Like all pet parents who consider pets as family, it was never an option for Donna to leave Annabell and Tabetha behind.

Donna decided to take the assistance of an international pet transport company to handle the pet relocation because she knew how tedious it was to relocate a pet. She contacted Petraveller to handle Annabell’s and Tabetha’s relocation. Donna says, “When I spoke to Petraveller for the first time, they were very reassuring and helpful and understood exactly what I needed.”

Despite the travel restrictions in place because of the global COVID-19 pandemic, we are happy to say that Annabell and Tabetha made their journey successfully to Wellington and are now busy exploring their new surroundings. Thank you, Donna, for trusting Petraveller for the relocation of your precious fur babies. We wish you lots of happiness and many fun adventures with Annabell and Tabetha in New Zealand.
