Wake and Ryan

Sydney to Christchurch

Trip Overview

Owner: Ryan McGhee

Origin: Sydney

Pet Name: Wake

Destination: Christchurch

Breed: Staffordshire Terrier (USA)

“The care and the approach that I got from Petraveller gave me comfort.”

Ryan and his handsome buddy Wake recently travelled from Sydney to Christchurch with Petraveller. Ryan narrates as to how Wake became a part of his life and tells us why he chose to go with Petraveller’s services.

Wake was adopted by Ryan from the RSPCA in June 2019. Ryan says, “He is five years old and was found abandoned on a rubbish tip, beaten and malnourished. It took the RSPCA three months to get Wake used to human touch again.”

Ryan has had Wake for six months, and he has introduced him to people to make him comfortable. Wake has now become accustomed to people, but is still unable to socialise with other dogs. Ryan says, “He gets anxious, and was temporarily on anxiety medication at the RSPCA for two weeks. He’s not had any meds since I adopted him.”

It is evident that Ryan thinks the world of sweet Wake. He says, “Wake is a bundle of love and loves attention. He’ll melt your heart, I guarantee it.”

Ryan was moving from Sydney to Christchurch. He says, “I am starting afresh after a divorce. Just me and Wake!” Ryan decided to take help from a pet transport company to manage his pet’s relocation. Ryan says, “The care, tone and the approach that I got from Petraveller gave me the most comfort.”

Wake had a comfortable journey and is well settled in his new home in Christchurch, New Zealand. We thank you, Ryan, for giving us the chance to relocate your precious buddy Wake. We wish you all the best on the move and hope you make many more memories with Wake out there in Christchurch.
