Willow and Tiahn

Sydney to Berlin

Trip Overview

Owner: Tiahn Wetzler

Origin: Sydney

Pet Name: Willow

Destination: Berlin

Breed: Ragdoll Cat

“Willow is loved and adored by the whole family for her soft and gentle nature.”

Tiahn and her cat Willow travelled from Sydney in Australia to Prenzlauer Breg, Berlin, Germany with Petraveller. Tiahn talks about Willow’s pet travel experience.

Willow is a six-year-old Ragdoll cat who came into Tiahn's life when she was 19 years old. The whole family loves Willow for her soft and gentle nature as well as her sometimes bossy manner. When Tiahn moved to Germany she decided to take Willow with her. Tiahn says, “There was no way I could live without her, which is why she ended up flying with Petraveller.”

Willow is a house cat who hates the outdoors. Tiahn remembers with a smile, “We thought it would be nice for her to explore the outdoors a little bit, so I bought her a cat harness and took her for little walk on the lawn. She was extremely tentative, and as soon as her paw touched the grass, she shook out of the harness and ran inside.”

Tiahn relocated to Germany for an adventure and to experience something new. Once she realised that she would be staying in Berlin for the foreseeable future, she decided to bring Willow over to join her. Tiahn looked for an international pet relocation service to manage the travel arrangements and zeroed in on Petraveller.

Tiahn says, “Petraveller was a great experience from the beginning. From the easy-to-use and trustworthy website, to the documentation, the correspondence and support from Lenny and the team throughout the process, everything was perfect. Petraveller were amazing and made a very stressful process, as easy and reassuring as possible.”

Willow settled in very quickly in her new home. She briefly had a bit of an upset tummy but soon after acclimatised to her new home and is as happy as ever.

Thank you, Tiahn, for trusting us with your precious cargo. Here’s to more adventures with Willow!
