Winnie and Madeleine

Brisbane to London

Trip Overview

Owner: Madeleine McMahon

Origin: Brisbane

Pet Name: Winnie

Destination: London

Breed: Pug

“Winnie won’t do anything for you unless it is followed by the words treat, walkies, or eat.”

Here’s the story of a cheeky Pug, Winnie, who has extremely selective hearing. Read to know more about Winnie and his international pet relocation experience to London with Petraveller.

Madeleine always dreamed of having a Pug. She recalls, “Adam (my fiancé) and I saw an ad for a litter of Pug puppies on a Brisbane Pug Association Facebook page. We went to visit the litter and fell in love with Winnie. We took him home, and both of our families immediately loved him. Winnie has been a big part of our lives in the short one and a half years that we have had him.”

Madeleine is amused with her pet’s quirky nature. She says, “Winnie is extremely cheeky and has very selective hearing. He won’t do anything for you unless it is followed by the words treat, walkies, or eat. Winnie often thinks he is the top-dog which can be very frustrating, especially when trying to clean his ears, teeth etc.”

Madeleine adds, “Winnie is also very loving and is beginning to become a lot more affectionate as he grows into an adult. But he can be a little anxious at times, as well as overly excited, usually when he is over-stimulated or someone is entering or leaving the house. It causes him to chase his tail, which is a big problem for him and our main concern when he is travelling.”

Madeleine and her partner were relocating to London, UK. She says, “My fiancé is a professional rugby player and his work is based in the United Kingdom. We hope to stay in the UK for a few years, and we couldn’t imagine going on our next adventure without Winnie.”

Like most pet parents, Madeleine was worried when the idea of Winnie’s relocation came up. Therefore, she decided to seek help from international pet transport professionals to manage Winnie’s relocation. She wanted her precious fur baby to have a smooth and stress-free travel experience. Madeleine reached out to Petraveller to take on the job of transporting her pet dog to London. She says, “Petraveller had such fabulous reviews online, and the price was much more reasonable. As this is our first time travelling with a dog, we were very anxious to find the right company, and Petraveller was the right choice for us!”

Winnie had an amazing flight and is now busy exploring the new streets of London. Thank you, Madeleine, for reaching out to Petraveller to handle beloved Winnie’s pet relocation. Here’s wishing you lots of exciting adventures with Winnie in the United Kingdom!
