Zaza, Huluwa and Zixi

“My cats are my babies.”

Zixi and her cute kitties, Zaza and Huluwa, had a smooth and a stress-free pet travel experience from Sydney to Hong Kong. Here’s their international pet relocation story.

Zixi adopted a Scottish Fold cat in 2018 and named him Zaza. Zaza was Zixi’s family’s first cat in Sydney. A few months later, Zixi adopted a Domestic Shorthair cat and called him Huluwa as the second cat in the family.

Zixi talks about Zaza’s charming personality. She says, “Zaza is an introverted cat who is sweet and lovely. He loves chilling at home, sleeping and cuddling. He jumps on my bed and sleeps in my arms before I sleep. Zaza loves being kissed, especially on his paws, and loves it when people rub the ‘white button’ spot on his behind. He purrs loudly when you kiss and rub him.” 

Meanwhile, Huluwa is a very active and naughty cat. Zixi says fondly, “Huluwa is very clingy, and I spend at least two hours a day to rub him. When you’re sitting on the couch or lying on the bed, Huluwa loves lying next to you, meowing for belly rubs. He meows a lot every day for attention. Huluwa suffers from anxiety and it takes me a while to calm him down with pats.”

Zaza and Huluwa are very timid kitties and get scared easily in unfamiliar surroundings or around strangers, especially kids. However, both Zaza and Huluwa are super friendly cats and never bite or scratch people.

Zixi was relocating to Hong Kong for work and planned to return to Australia in two or three years. She says affectionately, “I will never consider relocating without my cats, and I am clingier to my cats than they are to me. My cats are my babies, and I hope for them to be the happiest cats in the world.”

Zixi decided to hire a reputed and experienced pet transport agency to help move her feline family from Sydney to Hong Kong. Like most pet parents, Zixi was nervous and stressed about relocating her cats abroad. She wanted her cats to have a stress-free travel experience and land safely at their destination. She says, “Both my cats are very timid and get scared easily because they have been indoor cats and don’t get to see too many strangers at home.”
